Rescuing Families in Jipijapa

Sweet mama,

I'm doing really really good. We rescued the Familia Quiroz! I don't know if I told you about them or not but they are my favorite family for real. The parents are so awesome. Elio and Norma. They are so sweet and they make their home feel like my home. We rescued them and their son Ismael. Hes my bff so. And he wants to prep for a mission. So sweet. I think I feel so good about this because its like the first thing I've done during the mission that I feel is like of worth. I know that sounds awful. But I just feel so good about them. They are so great!

The Tumbaco family is still progressing!! They are going to get married next week! I am praying with all my heart and soul that I am here for this. We have transfers on Sunday night and I am TERRIFIED that I am going to get transferred before they get married and baptized. I trust the Lord, I do. This is his work and if he needs a different missionary to baptized them its okay. But let the record show that I love them and I want more than anything to see this through to the end. They have a son too that wants to get baptized. His name is Adrian and he is 8 years old and I am currently teaching him English!

Speaking of English, I am also going to start an English class this friday! The branch is so so so so excited. They want to learn english so bad and I am so excited to teach it. I just hope I am here to teach more...

I hope dad's birthday was awesome and that you spoiled him rotten. And I hope valentines day was great too! They definitely celebrate it here too hahahaha. I didnt get any valentines though so thats too bad. haha

I had to give a talk in church last sunday again. I forgot to tell you that on monday. It was so last minute oh my gosh. The president of the branch gave me a note in the middle of the first hymn and asked if I could talk. Oh my gosh I almost flipped out. I was so nervous. I did my best, it was super short, but I did what I could. After the talk one of the ladies told me that my spanish sounds great. I'm not sure if she is actually telling the truth but it made me feel better hahahah.

Good new I got your package!! I LOVE that trust in the Lord thing. I put it up above my bed. I'll take a picture for you this week! I love it so much. And I have a few requests. Its okay if you don't want to. But Hermana Espinoza, Hermana Flores, and Elder Yagual want a little something with their name on it. hahahahah so I don't know if you want to do a little doodle or something for them you can but dont feel like you have to hahahaha. By the way, Hermana Flores loves you. She really does. She is my grandma if you remember. I think she is like secretly living through me. Her mom passed away when she was 15 of cancer. and so I think she just thinks of you as her mom too. she always asks me how you are doing and what you are saying and what youre like. I love talking about my mom (and its pretty cool in spanish too he he he) and she loves it too.

I love you so much mother. Thank you for the prayers and the love. I hope you are doing good, I hope my siblings are good, my paps. I miss you guys so much. Pray I stay in jipijapa :)

Love always Mik
