Hello mama llama,
this week was NUTS WOW. We have been working our butts off all week. As a zone we have been going crazy here. We have been hunting like madmen for new investigators. And we have found them. WOOOOOO. This sunday was AWESOME. we had 2 investigators come to church. ONe of them is Stalin Baque. hes dope. He is so smart and so cool and he always has so many questions and he is studying the book of mormon and understanding everything and it is awesome. We are going to be talking about baptism with him this week. WOOOOO. Second and cooler thing. We have been working with the Sancan Family. They are a family of two parents and 6 kids but we only know four of them. And only three of the kids want to talk to us hahaha. So we have been visiting them a lot. the three daughters we visit are Belen 20, Yamileth 17 (turns 18 june 9) and Yulissa 15. And all three of them have gone to church. and they love it. And the miracle with this fam is that Belen doesnt like religions. she believes in god but thats it. And we were able to get her to church this sunday. and she loved it. and we were able to teach her about temples and eternal marriage and SHE LOVED LOVED LOVED that. And then that night we taught the family about baptism and Belen and Yamileth both accepted the date to baptized on the 11th of June. It was an INCREDIBLE lesson. The spirit guided every single word and it was wow i cant even describe it. They were just hanging on to my every word. and when i asked them if they would be baptized on the 11th they both said yes. and they told me that their hearts were beating so fast. Belen has changed so much since we first met her. she is so much more open with us, she has every desire to keep going to church, they are already so excited to be baptized and we just invited them yesterday. I cant even tell you how grateful i am for this family. they love us so much and they are just so great. We are working a lot with the parents too because they arent married. The mom, the sweetest lady in the world after my own mother, wants to get married so bad. But her husband doesnt. She keeps telling him "Please dont let me die with this sin over my head" and he keeps telling her "God knows we are married". i cant help but laugh when he says that because no god doesnt know that hahahaha. They are funny about it but you can tell she really wants to get married. we just have to soften up the dad a bit. its a work in process. really we are just so excited for the family. They are so great. im so excited.
We are really looking forward to this week. well i am for lots of reasons. one- the coolest lady in the branch is making me a dress that is beautiful and amazing. two- we have a meeting in guayaquil on thursday with the whole mission because the 70 that is over the mission is coming to talk to us. and also, because we are going to have a butt load of new investigators this week and that is also cause for celebration. CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES COME ON
I cried looking at maxs prom pics. he is growing up SO much and he is just so handsome and he looks SOOOO good in his suit and she looks beautiful and their flowers are awesome and i am just so proud to call him my brother. wow. wow. wow.
i got your package of pens and bandaids mother! my bff in the zone Elder Thompson was super jealous of my star wars band aids and we had a 2 minute rant about how awesome star wars is. we also have a hand shake. its just an elbow bump because you know... missionaries. lol. But really though lets just all appreciate star wars a little more often. star wars appreciation day every day.
Well my other news is that Elio, the dad in the Quiroz family that i rescued, became the first counselor in the Elders Quorom this week and i may or may not have teared up a little bit. he is so awesome.
