She made it to Ecuador!

Hello dear friends and family. This week there was only a very short letter from Mikayla. The reason being she left the MTC for Ecuador on Tuesday! I received a call from her very early Tuesday morning as she was leaving from the airport. She was very emotional and nervous. The call lasted exactly one minute! It was hard to only get to talk to her for such a short time, but also good to hear her voice. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. It's now very real! She is in the mission field and will begin to teach the gospel. Here is her short letter letting us know she made it:

I am Alive!

Hey mama,

I get five minutes to write you from the mission home in Ecuador. I have arrived here safely. I haven't had a total meltdown yet. And I am safe. I am so glad I got to hear your voice this morning. It made me so happy. I miss you a lot. I want to make you proud mama. You and dad. I know this is going to be so hard. I am so scared. I really am. But I felt it the second I got here that this is where I am supposed to be. I am going to be brave like you told me. I can do this. I know these next couple months will be the hardest. But I can do it.

I love you so much. I am so grateful for you. I am SO glad I got to talk to you this morning. Please pray for me. I am REALLY going to need it.

Again, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. and I will talk to you next Monday.

Love always,

Hermana Parker
