A Little sightseeing on P-day

Our Hermana Parker is just an amazing woman. She is doing so well and it's wonderful to get to read how she is doing. Thank you all for your prayers on her behalf. They really make a difference. She is happy and enjoying every minute.
Now from Mikayla:

It has been an exciting last couple days. Conference weekend was incredible. It was so nice to have such a long break and to just get to listen to conference. It was definitely an emotional weekend as well though. I hated not being with my family for conference. But it felt like I was watching it with you guys because I knew you were listening to the same things I was. Elder Hollands talk was an emotional wreck for every single missionary here. Elders and Sisters. We were all bawling our eyes out. MISSIONARIES LOVE THEIR MOMS. Me especially. Seriously that whole talk was just perfect. I loved it. AND I LOVE YOU. And I agree, Elder Nelsons talk was pretty incredible too. All the sisters were like frantically trying to write down everything he said. He gave us women a pretty killer pep talk. I also loved Sister Marriot's talk. She talked about her family motto: It will all work out. And I gave it some thought and I think our family should have a family motto. I really do. I am going to be praying about it, and I want you guys to pray about it too. And over the next couple weeks lets come up with a family motto!! What do you say??

So today for P-day we got to go on a culture tour of Bogota. And it was so cool. Bogota is an INCREDIBLE place. There are so many people, SO many cars, SO much gratiffi everywhere- which I think is the coolest thing in the world, and so much to look at. We took this tram straight up a mountain and got to see a view of the whole city. Bogota is HUGE. From what I've been told, 9 million people live in Bogota. Try and comprehend that. The mountains are GORGEOUS. I can honestly say that I have definitely been missing my Utah mountains. Don't take those bad boys for granted my friends. The pictures I've got for you today are of me on a mountain and a sweet view of the city. Sorry for the bad quality. But just trust me when I say these views took my breath away. 3170 meters or yards idk what they use here, above sea level. It was so cool. So cool!

We get a new group of latinos today and I can't even tell you how excited I am. The last group there was only like 15 latinos. But this group there is 40 something latinos. I AM SO EXCITED. We get four new latina roommates. And soccer will be waaaaayyy more fun with people that actually know how to play hahaha. Sorry bashing on americans.

I hope things are going good at home. I miss home. I miss you. I miss dad. I miss max. I miss luke. I miss simone. I bought you guys little souveniers from columbia today but I'm not going to send them to you until i get to ecuador because the mail here is awful but much better there. Also mother, i have written you an extremely long letter about conference that will undoubtably make you cry. but i wont send that till i get to ecuador either. Just fair warning. Were you able to find the address to the mission home okay? And will you text it to me friend? Gracias Mama.

Thank you for everything. Thank you for your prayers. I always always always feel them.
I love you so much. I love our family. I love this gospel.

Until next thursday my dear sweet familia.

LOVE ALWAYS

Hermana Parker
